Express Employment is looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. This position is located in the Lafayette, IN area.

Responsibilities: Perform related duties as assigned by ManagementMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresApply tools from Lean Manufacturing to solve problems and make improvementsPerform daily set up and machine inspections on MIG welding machinesAssemble and weld parts per printWeld/Fabricate service parts per prints as directed by Welding Supervisor
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsDemonstrates punctual, reliable, and predictable attendanceMust have a knowledge of weld symbols and print reading1+ year welding or fabrication experience is preferredAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsMust be able to carry up to 50 lbs., must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. frequentlyJob Type: Full-time
