JOB SUMMARY:To maintain a high standard of alertness, responsibility, and confidentiality while providing exceptional customer service. The Officer shift will be 2nd/3rd shifts during the hours between 10pm-6am.
Starting Pay:$16.75 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Punctual and dependable attendance.
Maintain a positive customer service attitude while interacting with clients, employees, customers, and visitors.
Assist in the start-up of the new account to include working the post, assisting with post orders, training checklists, and getting acclimated to the post.
Become proficient in CCTV operations.
Understand and utilize the Elements of Proof regarding shoplifting.
Utilize training and actions to deter theft.
Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.
Maintain proper security logs and Daily Activity Reports (DAR), Required to document all recovery efforts.
Diffuse and de-escalate situations that involve employees, customers, and/or security incidents.
Identify hazards in the parking lot, building entrance, and a variety of locations throughout the facility.
Check receipts and proof of purchase for all customers leaving the facility.
Conduct shopping cart integrity inspections and identify any items not purchased.
Be familiar with on-site emergency procedures, first aid supplies, and equipment.
Remain vigilant and attentive while on duty.
Will perform foot patrol and routine checks of all doors entering the building.
Act in a professional manner during emergencies, power outages, and inclement weather.
Able to act under pressure with a high standard of protection for property and human life.
Able to work well and professionally with Client management when situation arises.
Ensure proper maintenance of uniforms and maintain a clean professional appearance.
Must be able to follow all security instructions.
Administer First Aid and CPR if required.
Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required OR 4-years of verifiable professional security experience.
Valid CLEET Phase I and II certifications issued by the State of Oklahoma, required.
Must have flexible availability, including off-shifts and weekends.
Previous security experience required, or strong background in professional level communication/customer service with emphasis on public interaction required.
Must be willing to work/travel to different contracted locations as scheduled.
Skilled in operating various surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and basic computer applications for reporting and documentation. Technical proficiency is a requirement to be successful.
Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
Reliable transportation and communication required.
