Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 14-week contract assignment in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patient mobility, promote functional independence, and deliver high-quality therapeutic care.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions in accordance with established care plans.
Document daily treatment performance, patient progress, and clinical observations accurately and timely.
Support patient education regarding exercises, safety, and functional techniques.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered rehabilitation.
Maintain proper safety standards and infection control practices throughout sessions.
Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or geriatric care preferred.
Strong clinical communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced care environment.
