Position Summary
In this role, you will assist our dentists in delivering quality dental care to children and adults. You'll help prepare treatment rooms, assist with x-rays, and ensure patients feel comfortable during their visits. Your role will directly impact our office operations, compliance, and public image.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during treatment procedures for children
  • Escort patients to and from the treatment rooms
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Complete polishing & sealant procedures without guidance. 
  • Assist with opening and closing of the back office as scheduled
  • Ask patients about their medical history, take vital signs, and record data
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in treatment rooms and sterilize equipment
  • Help patients feel at ease before, during, and after treatment
  • Provide follow-up instructions and help schedule next appointments
  • Handle emergencies by following established policies
  • Participate in daily team huddles, meetings, and workshops
  • Maintain and update patient charts and records
  • Monitor and maintain office inventory, ensuring minimal waste
  • Protect patient confidentiality at all times

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • CPR certification and a valid state driver's license
  • Some Pediatric Dental Assisting (Preferred) 
  • Strong computer skills, with familiarity with Dentrix Enterprise (preferred)
