Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are strongly preferred or relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in the networking field.
• Practical experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls.
• Familiarity with Cisco CLI, Meraki, and Fortinet.
• Demonstrated experience in network engineering, planning, cyber security, designing, provisioning, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Availability to support on-call emergency network outages during evenings and weekends.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a team, take direction from multiple sources, focus on detail, and complete projects.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills to meet various schedules and objectives.
• Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning abilities to identify and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities:

• I design and assess network systems and communications for mobile power generation equipment, gas processing equipment, and remote office spaces.
• I work alongside systems engineers to establish and troubleshoot satellite and LTE issues, while also collaborating with system administrators to manage support ticket resolutions.
• I identify, resolve, and mitigate hardware, software, and configuration problems affecting networking devices.
• I gather information from customers and engineering teams regarding network issues to develop effective network solutions.
• I possess familiarity with industrial equipment and communication systems, including satellite and LTE.
• I have experience with distributed systems, networking, cluster servers, and edge computing.
• I handle the installation and connection checks of networking devices, interpret network designs, including switch topologies, and perform network cabling installations, both copper and fiber.
• I am skilled in electrical circuit troubleshooting, installation, and repair (120–480 VAC, 24–125 VDC).
