Job Description

A Director of Product Management is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the product strategy, development, and lifecycle for a company. They lead a team of product managers, guiding them in developing and launching products that align with the company's overall goals and meet customer needs. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful product outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:

Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. 

Product Lifecycle Management:

Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch analysis

Market Analysis & Research:

Conducting market research, analyzing customer needs, and understanding the competitive landscape to inform product decisions

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborating with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and launch. 

Stakeholder Management:

Communicating product vision, strategy, and progress to senior management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

Required Skills:

  • Strategic Leadership: Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to define and execute a product vision.
  • Product Management Expertise: Deep understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical aspects of product development and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of product managers.
